New Trekking Rule Has Been Changed from Sankari:2021
Local People has organized a federation which is operated by the head of the federation with the help of Forest Department of Indian Govt, and only local people are working as a member of this federation.
So, they decided to enforce the employment and financial growth for local people, and they implement few rules for trekkers are below:
- Every trekker will not be allowed to trek without a local guide,
- Guide Charges are 1000 rs per day (if your trekking will take 5 days then it will cost 5000 rs)
- Federation will also charge for waste management which is 20 rs per day,
- Trekkers will not be allowed to ask for a permit from the Forest department, only your guide will arrange for a permit and the permit cost is 150 rs per day
- If you will go for the trek on your own without a guide then the forest department will charge fine double,

How to Reach Sankari
Sankari buses are availabe from Dehradun but you need to pick up from Massoorie Bus stand. The 1st bus is availabe from outside of bus stand at 5:30 AM early morning (you have to wait on the road), this bus is running via Vikashnagar not via Massoorie.
